Moving forward into my career, I hope to still facilitate programs and discussions around college-aged individuals on topics such as race, class, and privilege, and having them recognize how their identity fits into the broader scope of society. My future goal is to focus on underrepresented students and ensuring they have a smooth transition from whatever environment they are coming from. The PASA program has expanded my understanding of student affairs, and I am committed towards advocating for student needs. In addition, I realize that no student affairs practitioner knows everything about every population within every scope of student affairs. That is impossible. However, I strive to be as broadly educated, while still maintaining a strong understanding of the student populations I will be working with. I work to ensure every student's success by listening to what my students have to say, and speaking up when advocating for student needs.
